WAKEFIELD–Starting pitcher Tom Kazounis took the mound Friday afternoon for the Rebels as they looked to win back to back games for the first time this season. The Rebels came into the contest alternating wins and losses for the first five league games, posting a record of 3-2 and would face a struggling Pilgrim squad who had lost two straight and compiled a 2-3 record on the young season. Kazounis got off to a slow start allowing a leadoff double to Brendan Paiva, who would later score on a two-out, RBI single to left by the cleanup hitter, Chris Ray. The Patriots would not score again until the sixth inning when the game was already well out of reach.
