WOOD RIVER JUNCTION – The Chariho School Committee would like to have a joint meeting with the three town councils to discuss the Chariho Act.
Superintendent Barry Ricci proposed the idea to the school committee Tuesday.
“I am of the opinion that with the paper flying back and forth between the school committee and the town councils and the councils to each other, that little to nothing will ever be accomplished,” Ricci said. “I would like to offer an alternative to that. The Chariho Act revision subcommittee is one alternative that has been used in the past, but it requires the committee go back to the councils and the school committee for a vote. I propose to you that you think about hosting a meeting of the three town councils facilitated by a moderator.”
