URI senior an example of perseverance

NARRAGANSETT – In a series of events that can only be described as unlikely, coincidental and triumphant, a 22-year-old quadriplegic nurse named Janice Wray, of East Greenwich, will graduate from URI next year and begin her work as a registered nurse and educator. Wray began her education in the nursing field for the same reasons as most.
“It just kind of fit. My dad had an accident when I was in high school, which brought me closer to the medical field – then it just clicked,” said Wray. “I love it.”
