Town, schools share budgets

EAST GREENWICH — Members of both the East Greenwich Town Council and the East Greenwich School Committee formally presented their proposed 2015 fiscal budgets in a public hearing Monday evening at Swift Community Center.

Town Manager Thomas Coyle publically announced that the Town’s budget is slated to increase by 3.02 percent to $59,849,417 – a jump by about $1.7 million from the 2014 fiscal budget. Of the entire budget, approximately 55 percent of the total – $32,472,100 – will be for education.
