Town, residents negotiating about assessments

April 10, 2014

Homeowners of three properties on Sarah’s Trace are in discussions with the Town regarding the assessments of their homes.

Legal representatives for the Town of East Greenwich and residents from Sarah’s Trace are having discussions at the bargaining table trying to come to a compromise regarding property assessments for their respective residences.

According to previously published reports, David Maglio, the legal counsel for Christopher and Susan Lamendola, Keith and Wendy Amelotte and Thomas Hogan and Cynthia Peloso – residents who are currently suing the town, alleging that construction methods to build Cole Middle School five years ago caused significant damage to their abutting properties – and East Greenwich Town Solicitor Peter Clarkin are in negotiations about the assessments the residents feel should be at zero.
