EAST GREENWICH – Theater costumes, theater puppets, ceramics, oils, watercolors, pencil, pen and ink, sculpture, manipulated images, acrylics, furniture, exploding instruments, artistic instruments.
The walls and shelves of the library at New England Institute of Technology are filled with new and diverse images again, as TechArts runs through May 25. TechArts began as an art installation in 1995, as a way to showcase the artistic talents of the students, faculty and staff of New England Tech and share them with the rest of the college community.
The concept of TechArts resurfaced in the Spring of 2004 when a committee of faculty and administrative staff members became fully committed to keeping this tradition alive as an annual event.
The public is invited to visit the library at NEIT’s East Greenwich Campus located at 1408 Division Road through May 25 and enjoy the many creative works on display. All types of fine art and applied art are exhibited from 33 students, 10 faculty members and 13 members of the school’s staff.
Read all about it in the May 10 edition of The Pendulum.
