South Kingstown celebrates Girl Scout Week

Brownie Troop 205 of West Kingston was the first troop to hear the town of South Kingstown’s acknowledgment of Girl Scout Week, a now official week-long holiday running retroactively from March 9 to March 15. The town council urges the community to support and encourage the Girl Scouts during this week.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - As of Monday night, South Kingstown is officially celebrating Girl Scout Week, seven days devoted to supporting and encouraging the area Girl Scouts.

“We are excited tonight to have a Brownie Troop with us,” said Council President Ella Whaley. Brownie Troop 205, a third-grade troop from West Kingston, approached the council bearing gifts of girl scout cookies and leading the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
