SK files to reaffirm sheet pile wall decision

September 26, 2013

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – In a brief filed in Providence County Superior Court last week, the town of South Kingstown asked the court to reaffirm the decision of the Coastal Resources Management Council regarding its assent to construct a 202-foot sheet pile wall along Matunuck Beach Road.

Michael A. Ursillo, town solicitor, responded on behalf of the town and CRMC to an administrative appeal filed by William R. Landry, attorney for the Ocean Mist.

In the case Kevin Finnegan, owner of the Ocean Mist, contends that CRMC erred in its decision to grant the town of South Kingstown permission to build the wall.
