WEST WARWICKâ€” A local woman was recently arrested by West Warwick police following an investigation into illegal narcotic sales.
According to Detective Sgt. Scott Amaral, on Oct. 11 members of the West Warwick Special Investigations Division partnered with Coventry Police Detectives and the West Warwick/Coventry SWAT Team to search a home at 5 Manchester St., West Warwick.
The Special Investigations Division previously conducted an investigation into narcotic sales and obtained the search warrant.
Amaral stated that Samantha Dodge, 21, who lived in the home, was arrested after detectives found marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin inside her residence.
She was charged with two counts of delivery, possession with intent, manufacture of schedule I & II narcotics and create, deliver, possess with intent counterfeit substance Schedule I & II narcotics.
She was arraigned on Friday at the Kent County District Court and held without bail. A bail status conference was scheduled for Oct. 17.
This is not her first run-in with the law. Dodge was arrested by Coventry Police in August of 2012 and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Most recently, in March of 2013, she was charged by the Coventry Police Department with possession of clonazepam and marijuana.
