EAST GREENWICH — A notable establishment on Main Street is about to gain a second life.
Members of the East Greenwich Town Council unanimously approved the applications for both a victualing license and an entertainment license for Norman’s Tap and Restaurant Monday evening at Swift Community Center, more than five months after the half-century-old business was closed down due to an excessive debt.
Sharon Hazard, the daughter of Norman’s Tap owner Norman Harris, Jr. who approached the Council several times over the course of three months during the winter, stood before the four-member government body (sans Councilman Brad Bishop) Monday evening with much more optimism and excitement in that her family’s business has a second chance.
