NORTH KINGSTOWNâ€”On Tuesday evening, the North Kingstown School Committee discussed the town councilâ€™s most recent request to cut its budget request by $800,000, which would lower the districtâ€™s general fund request to $59.1 million. The committee engaged in a lengthy debate about the reduction, and members said that they wanted to make sure the council fully recognized the schoolsâ€™ future needs, namely with capital improvements.
