Flaherty is a proud graduate of Providence College, and holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics, history and secondary education, as well as a master's of education in secondary administration.
Flaherty comes to Prout from Birchwood Middle School in North Providence, where he served as principal for the last four years. Prior to his service at Birchwood, Flaherty served as assistant principal of North Providence High School.Â
