More CMS students were diagnosed with pertussis

A total of six students who attend Cole Middle School have been diagnosed with pertussis, or ‘whooping cough.’

EAST GREENWICH — More students who attend Cole Middle School have been formally diagnosed with the pertussis illness late last week.

The East Greenwich School District sent out an additional advisory – which is also posted to the EGSD’s website – to parents back on Friday that a total of six students, ages and grades unknown, have now contracted the illness widely known as ‘whooping cough’ and that their children might be exposed, as well.
