WESTERLY - The Rhode Island Office of Attorney General and the Rhode Island Department of Health announced Tuesday that they will hold public informational meetings later this month concerning the proposed sale of Westerly Hospital to Lawrence & Memorial Corporation.
The public is invited to attend the public informational meetings scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, at the Westerly Middle School, 10 Sandy Hill Road, Westerly. Public comment will be accepted during the scheduled public informational meetings.
Two sessions will be held on March 27 - one from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the second from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The agencies will also accept written comment from members of the public until April 3 at 4 p.m.
Written comments may be submitted at the public informational meetings or may be mailed to:

Both departments have received requests for expedited review of the proposal. The separate expedited review initial applications were accepted for review on Jan. 29 and are available on the following websites:
