Mariners keep playoff hopes alive

PROVIDENCE—There is still hope for the Narragansett football team.
Needing a win to keep their chances of making the Division III playoff alive the Mariners turned in an impressive defensive performance in a 28-11 win at Classical Saturday afternoon.
“Playing on the road against Classical they’re always very athletic,” Narragansett coach Dick Fossa said after the win. “They have the ability to run it and throw the ball but we needed to stick to our game plan and play with the intensity we had with Mount Pleasant. We felt if we did that we’d have a very good chance of winning.”
