EAST GREENWICH — Just one day after it issued a county-wide, boil-water advisory, Peter Masterson, the East Greenwich representative for the Kent County Water Authority, gave the East Greenwich Town Council and Interim Town Manager Thomas Coyle Monday evening an update on the status of the temporary mandate.
The KCWA advised its customers in East Greenwich, as well as in neighboring Warwick, West Warwick, Coventry, West Greenwich and parts of Cranston, to boil their water or use bottled water after traces of E.Coli bacteria were found in a storage container in West Warwick over the weekend.
The areas in East Greenwich that were affected include along Frenchtown Road, First Avenue, all of Division Road, Main Street all the way down to the Rout 402 intersection at Post Road, most of South County Trail and into parts of the Potowomut section of Warwick.
