Journey memorable for trailblazer Bordeleau

WEST WARWICK— Before her reign as The Providence Journal’s executive editor began, Karen Bordeleau, who was recently awarded one of the highest awards in journalism— The Yankee Quill— was the managing editor at The Kent County Daily Times.

As the only woman to hold the position as executive editor at The Providence Journal for its 184 years in existence, Bordeleau has shifted the newsroom into a “story first” operation which involves one story being told in different ways on multiple platforms.
