An issue of fairness with seasonal permits

HOPKINTON - The town council, acting temporarily as a licensing board, discussed the issues with special event permits that span a seasonal period at Monday night’s meeting during discussion on a particular permit for the Pavilion Steakhouse.

The Pavillion was seeking a special event permit for “various events” that would span the weekends from April 25 to October.

Councilor David Husband expressed his concerns on the process by which these licenses are applied for and distributed.
