Hopkinton council to address budget tonight

June 17, 2013

Hopkinton Town Hall

HOPKINTON - For the first time in Hopkinton history, voters rejected the town's budget last week by a vote of 224 against and 184 in favor of the budget.

According to the town charter, if a budget fails, the town council resorts to an alternative budget, which is in alignment with the previous year's budget.

The Hopkinton Town Council will take action on the budget tonight, at 7 p.m., at the Hopkinton Town Hall.

The outcome will be in this week's Chariho Times.
