Hodgson running for Attorney General?

September 26, 2013

Could a local state senator be in the running for the Office of Attorney General in 2014?

According to previously published reports, District 35 Sen. Dawson Hodgson (R – East Greenwich, North Kingstown, South Kingstown, Narragansett) recently expressed interest in throwing his name into the ring for the state’s attorney general position, a job currently being held by Peter F. Kilmartin, next election season.

In a report in the state’s largest daily newspaper back on Monday, Hodgson, when asked about the possibility of running, told reporters he was “interested” based on his past experience as a prosecutor.

Read more about it in the Sept. 26 edition of The Pendulum.
