Discover unique places in Rhode Island during Land Trust Days

August 11, 2014

The seven-week campaign to bring attention and visibility to Rhode Island Land Trusts kicks off tomorrow, bringing outdoor family activities (most of which are free) to protected, land-trust owned areas in the state.
Spanning from inner cities to the forest, Rhode Island Land Trust Days offers opportunities for residents and visitors to the Ocean State to discover new places and meet new people through events like guided walks, scavenger hunts, farm tours, kayak trips, storytelling, barbeques, geocaching and storytelling.
“Rhode Island has a wealth of rural, urban and coastal places protected by land trusts,” said Rupert Friday, director of the Rhode Island Land Trust Council. “Land Trust Days is a way for everyone to enjoy these sites. Getting outdoors is a chance for everyone to discover their own true nature.”
