COVENTRYâ€” A lot is happening at the Coventry Police Department (CPD) including the purchase of a 2014 Ford Interceptor SUV, a purchase of a replacement patrol car and an the replacement of their current weapons totaling 63 new .40-caliber service guns, which were all approved at last nightâ€™s Coventry Town Council meeting.
Other annual contracts were approved unanimously such as the CyberComm service contract for radio and recording systems at the CPD, totaling at a cost of $8,112. The Police Chief, Bryan Volpe, spoke at the meeting about the company and the CPDâ€™s long relationship with its reliable equipment.
