Court rules for communications tower to be built on Slocum Road

T-Mobile’s plans to construct a 120-foot telecommunications tower at 170 Slocum Road received a boost recently, as the Superior Court ruled that the structure would not be detrimental to surrounding properties.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN—On March 31, Superior Court Justice Kristin E. Rodgers ruled in favor of the North Kingstown Zoning Board of Review in upholding their 2011 decision to grant a series of variances and permits, ultimately paving the way for construction of a new 120-foot telecommunications tower off Slocum Road.

In January and April 2011, T-Mobile Northeast, LLC, presented the North Kingstown Planning Commission with its application for a number of variances and special-use permits in order to build a new telecommunications tower at 170 Slocum Road.
