Campaigns wind down for GOP candidates

One owns his own insurance agency. One is a technical writer. One owns a jewelry manufacturing company in Johnston.

But all will be united on a ballot for both the Town of East Greenwich and a small portion of the Town of West Greenwich to decide which GOP member will challenge for the District 30 seat in the state’s House of Representatives this coming Tuesday.

Robert Bolton, Dean Fachon and Anthony Giarrusso are all making their final pitches and offering their final handshakes to local voters before the moment of truth comes late in the evening on Sept. 11. Once the primary votes are tallied, only one will move on to the November ballot for the Republican party and face Democrat Dr. Mark Schwager and Independent Kevin McDonough in vying for the seat that will be vacated by outgoing Rep. Robert A. Watson.
