Aunt Carrie’s gets zoning relief for beer and wine sales

Aunt Carrie’s in Narragansett hopes business will continue to thrive this year with the addition of beer and wine sales.

NARRAGANSETT – The zoning board voted 5-0 Thursday to grant the zoning relief requested to allow the sale of beer and wine at Aunt Carrie’s on Ocean Road.

Elsie Foy, owner of Aunt Carrie’s, along with Attorney Donald Packer, appeared before the zoning board, saying that there would be no physical change to the establishment, but the restaurant simply wanted to compete with its neighbors by providing beer and wine through indoor table service.
