Army Corps plans beach restoration

November 22, 2013

MISQUAMICUT – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, is proposing to restore Misquamicut Beach.
The Army Corps is planning to restore the beach erosion control project after Hurricane Sandy heavily damaged the area last year.
The project requires approximately 90,000 cubic yards of sand to be placed on the beach, according to Christopher Hatfield, project manager with the Army Corps’ New England District Engineering and Planning Division in Concord, Mass.
