ACA forces schools to revisit health care policy

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - The passing of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), has not only changed the way that individuals, families and businesses receive and qualify for healthcare, but has done the same for public school systems.
This was made evident at the school committee meeting on Tuesday night, where the accountability subcommittee presented to the full committee the work being done to analyze how the district would have to change its per diem and part-time employee policy based on the ACA.
