RI pro golfer's son in critical condition

Devon Quigley, the former University of Rhode Island golfer and son of pro golfer Dana Quigley, has been in a serious car accident down in Florida.
WPTV 5 in Florida had a small piece on the story Thursday.

Former NK athlete takes home big prize

Congratulations are in order for former North Kingstown High School basketball and baseball player Mark Medeiros.
The 21-year old has unofficially won the November "Streak for the Cash" on ESPN.com after making the most correct picks on various sporting events this month and because his streak was the biggest of the year, he is set to take home the $150,000 prize.

Mariners, Rebels, end season in semis

It was a rough Tuesday night for the South Kingstown and Narragansett football teams as both squads saw their hopes at a Super Bowl title end in the semifinals.
The Rebels led Hendricken 7-0 after a Garrett O'Dowd punt return touchdown, but the Hawks took over and scored the next 42 points in a 42-14 win over SK in the Division I semifinals.
Narragansett outplayed Middletown most of the night, but a pair of fumbles that were returned for Islander touchdowns proved too much to overcome in a 38-22 loss in the Division III semifinals.
