SOUTH KINGSTOWN - On Tuesday night, the South Kingstown Town Council held a closed executive session to discuss current litigation between the Ocean Mist and the CRMC regarding a sheet pile wall planned to be built on the east side of the Ocean Mist.
The council discussed a Superior Court decision in March that overturned the approval of the sea wall. On June 24, a CRMC meeting will be held to further examine the issue.
Kevin Finnegan, owner of the Ocean Mist, said that if the wall is built, it will force the Ocean Mist, an iconic Rhode Island music venue and beach bar, to close.
